Kill City Creeps

Sydney three-gals-and-a-guy band Kill City Creeps deliver five super cruisy garagey tunes on this EP. Their ‘60s and ‘70s influences can definitely be heard through their style and the catchy, distinctive organ sound. It’s well-produced and elements like the vocal echo makes the production also add to the old school vibe. Both the male and female vocals are great, sexy and engaging, complimenting each other and the style well. I really dig the handmade sleeve of this EP too, with its recycled paper and seemingly hand-printed design. There are some catchy moments like Mustang Mama, but these tracks could be criticised for all having a very similar sound and pace, making it a bit samey. Still, this is a cool little EP with charisma and a bit of attitude, and cruisy enough to be the perfect accompaniment for a chilled out Sunday afternoon with a couple of brews.
