Japanese Kanzashi Flowers Workshop

The Friends of the Ipswich Art Gallery invite you to join them in a hands-on workshop creating traditional Japanese kanzashi flowers from fabric.   Japanese designer Mabina Alaka, the incredible instructor behind our furoshiki class in 2016, will teach the craft of making individual petals from fabric to create your own flower brooch. After participating in this workshop, you will be able to create gifts or make wearable items for yourself and pass on the skill to friends and family.   All materials are provided, and you can purchase additional kits and equipment, as well as stunning ready-made pieces by the artist to inspire your crafting at home.   Numbers strictly limited to 10 participants per workshop. Book early to avoid disappointment.   Location: Ipswich Community Gallery, d’Arcy Doyle Place, Ipswich 4305 Cost: Friends of the Ipswich Art Gallery: $30. General Admission: $35 Age Group: Recommended 12+ Website: https://www.ipswichartgallery.qld.gov.au/allevents/japanese-kanzashi-flowers-workshop/
