Hailing from Brisbane, Australia, the Gonzo Show are a 4 piece with a sound that comes from the early American 90's indie days. The have just come out of the studio with two new tracks - "neuron fire" and "frozen sands".
Having formed in early 2006 the band has been establishing themselves in Australia with tours to Perth, WA (one to showcase at the WAMI's), Melbourne and South East Queensland.
The Gonzo’s sound is best summed up by a local Brisbane venue the Hangar as “combining the best elements of the early nineties american indie scene with the hazy wash of 60s revival bands”.
Following their first “split screen” ep recorded by the Nowak brothers at home (only 75 copies were printed), their first “official” release was their “zlato baby” ep released independently in August 2007. The record is stylistically diversified received positive reviews... Dreamy electro guitar noise, deliciously delicate but prominent bass-lines, a steady, driving rhythm section and a vocalist whose melodies scream ‘sing with me!” (Rave Magazine review) and received steady roatation on the local indie radio.
