OUTSIDERS GO SOFT - THE STRESS OF LEISURE ALBUM LAUNCH 'SOFT APPROACH' @ THE ZOO
20 AUGUST 2010

Lou Reed, David Bowie and Tina Turner did it in the 80’s. And now ouTsideRs is going ‘Soft’ too, with a putty-in-your-hands night of music, poetry and the gelatinous, mushy pap that ouTsideRs has become synonymous with at The Zoo on Friday 20th August.
Hosted by the gradual creeper Ghostboy, ephemeral Mz Tess and the placidly benign Pascalle Burton, the evening will provide ear cushioning by the Royal Family of Soft-Engineering, The Stress of Leisure, who is celebrating the launch of their third album ‘Soft Approach’. Joining them will be the delicious Girl With Cake and undulating Grand Atlantic. And plucking him for a special departure from his punk-cabaret act, Ghostboy will deliver tender-hearted poetry with the unsuspecting manner of a cassowary. ouTsideRs will also release the doves when the ladies from West End’s Black Dove Body Bar leave a lasting impression of free hand massages and performance art.
Doesn’t sound soft at all? Bring a stuffed toy and wrap yourself in cotton wool – you just might need it! Best outfit wins something flaccid.

Tickets are $12 at the door, at www.thezoo.com.au for $10 + booking fee, or a ticket from the ouTsideRs crew is $10 with a limited edition ‘Soft’ badge to the first 100 sold this way!
