The standard of RSPCA approved pork sold in supermarkets has come under scrutiny after farmers argued the logo leads consumers to believe they are buying a free-range product.

Humane Choice has lodged a complaint with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, claiming that the RSPCA’s logo is ‘misleading’.

RPSCA Scientific Officer for Farm Animals, Melina Tensen, argued the claims are unfounded.
