Emergency funding for TAASQ
As part of the Queensland Budget for 2012, funding was cut for the 23 services funded through the Tenant Advice and Advocacy Service (TAAS) program.
The Federal Minister for Housing and Homelessness, Brendan O’Connor announced the federal government will provide 3.3 million dollars of emergency funding for Queensland TAAS until June 2013.
The tenant’s service would otherwise have closed at the end of this month.
