Refusing to stand for a judge - disrespectful, or criminal?

Most people are aware that in court you are supposed to stand as the judge enters or exits the room. For a long time this practice has existed as an informal protocol. But in New South Wales it was last year enshrined in law, and this week Moutia Elzahed became the first person charged with "disrespecting the court".

4ZZZ reporter Andy Paine spoke to Pauline Wright of the NSW Law Society about why this law has been created now, whether it is necessary and what happens when it conflicts with religious beliefs.
