Ebola outbreak in Uganda continues

In a national address earlier this week, Uganda’s President, Yoweri Musevini, urged people to avoid unnecessary contact with each other and discouraged handshakes, casual sex and do-it-yourself burials. Health officials are hopeful there will not be a repeat of the severity of the Ebola outbreak in Uganda in 2000, when 425 people were infected. So far 232 people have come into contact with the virus and are being monitored.
