QLD based mental health initiative to roll out nationally

The Mates in Construction program has received $5.24million in Federal Government funding to expand the program across the country. Federal Minister for Mental Health Mark Butler says builders are twice as likely to take their lives than other men. The Mates in Construction program is credited with preventing up to two suicides a week in the Queensland construction industry.
