Assange asks to end US war on whistleblowers

Julian Asssange has broken his silence after spending almost two months in the Ecuadorian embassy in London.

Mr Assange spoke from the first floor balcony of the embassy and asked the U-S Government to give up its ‘witch-hunt” against WikiLeaks. The founder sought asylum with Ecuador after a British court ordered that he could be extradited to Sweden to face sexual assault accusations. Mr Assange has said the talk about prosecuting media organisations must stop and that the U-S war on whistle-blowers must end.
