Queensland practical driver test face-lift

Queensland practical driver test face-lift

Transport Minister Scott Emerson will release a 34-page report today which will propose fewer chances for errors and recommends a stronger focus on tricks such as right-hand turns and merging, which carry a higher crash risk than other manoeuvres such as reverse parks. Under the changes, drives will be permitted to exceed the speed limit by up to 4km/h on three occasions before being automatically failed. Mr Emerson said he would see public feedback on the review, which represented the first major overhaul of the driving test in 14 years.
