Leadership challenge finally here

The announcement comes after weeks of speculation and Kevin Rudd’s resignation as Foreign Minister. Gillard has promised she will step down as leader if the votes go against her and she will also renounce any further claims to the Labor Party leadership. The ballot will be held on Monday and is hoped to put an end to allegations of a leadership struggle within the party.
