Gladstone Ports Corporation admits fault
Cunningham says the Corporation’s claim that the low water quality in the area was a result of flooding was completely untrue.
Environmentalists and concerned locals have expressed concern and anger that the dredging of the harbour is what’s contributing to poor water quality.
The by-product of dredging is stored in a container called a bund and the GPC has finally conceded that one of their bunds has been leaking, contributing to the contamination of the harbour.
