Fears over taxi subsidy review

Disability advocates are fearful a review into the taxi subsidy could leave people with disabilities even more out of pocket. Newman has revealed membership of the scheme has almost doubled since the last review in 2008 and there are concerns over the sustainability of the program. Director of the Queensland Advocacy, Ken Wade fears the review “is going to be a mechanism for finding another way of taking money out of the subsidy scheme”.
