Moreton Bay Regional Council Removes Homeless People’s Belongings

A spokeswoman for Moreton Bay Regional Council confirmed a council officer attended the Redcliffe Jetty but did not confirm or deny the removal of personal belongings. The council spokeswoman said MBRC had sought advice and assistance from government agencies including the Department of Housing and Communities. The departments have offered accommodation and crisis support to the individuals however, as council understands they have declined.
