Parliamentary Service Amendment to protect MPs from Freedom of Information laws

Under the amendments, members of the public will not be allowed to request information about MP’s salaries, electorate allowances and superannuation. Greens Senator Lee Rhiannon said “this is a cynical and self-serving move by the old parties to block transparency”.
