Ceiling collapse in Cambodian factory

Cambodian workers in the clothing and garment industry have protested the poor conditions that they experience in factories for a long period of time. Working conditions within south Asia have been in the spotlight recently due to last month’s horrific factory collapse in Bangladesh that left 1,127 people dead. An issue of gender has also been raised during both these incidents, as most of the fatalities in Bangladesh and Cambodia were female workers.
