Queensland government contributing to new hospital in Papua New Guinea

“Queensland taxpayers may not know that currently it’s costing them $14 million a year to look after PNG nationals who come into our state,” Permier Newman said. The hospital will create opportunities for Australian nurses and hospital suppliers as well as reducing the number of Papua New Guineans flying into Queensland for medical treatment.
