Scenic Rim seeks to prevent spread of mosquito borne diseases

The Scenic Rim Regional Council said that the growing population and increase in residential areas in the region call for proper management of mosquito populations. Queensland Health and the World Health Organisation have noted that mosquito borne diseases, such as dengue fever, are not endemic in Queensland, however, the incidence rate and frequency has increased in recent years.
