Priests lead attack on gay Georgian protesters

Thousands of anti-gay rights demonstrators led by a number of priests burst through police cordons, some carrying banners which read “no to mental genocide.” Twelve people were reported hospitalised including three police officers. The attacks came after the leader of the Georgian Orthodox Church compared homosexuals to drug addicts last Wednesday.
