Afghan education empowering women

Ms Bokova visited the Ayesha-e-Durrani High School in Kabul, where 1,600 students are enrolled and have access to a diverse and up to date education. Ms Bokova also notes that there are still 3 million Afghan children who are not receiving an education, 70% of whom are girls. Ms Bokova stresses that the education and empowerment of women will help drive Afghanistan to social and economic success while also retaining their rich cultural heritage.
