Suicide Bomber kills in Northeast Nigeria

A female suicide bomber has killed 10 people and injured dozens more at a bus station in the Nigerian city of Damaturu.

The attack had reportedly targeted people who were on their way to the Sunday markets.

An angry mob later prevented emergency workers from reaching the remains of the bomber.

While no group has claimed responsibility for the attack, Islamist militia group Boko Haram has used similar methods in the past.

Boko Haram’s insurgency against Nigeria has destabilised much of Africa’s biggest economy and violence has spilled over into neighbouring countries Chad and Cameroon.
