SHANDY CD Launch and European Tour Fundraiser Brisbane intercontinental rockers SHANDY will be putting on a extravaganza – Saturday 1st August 2015 at THE CROWBAR, Fortitude Valley. Only first hitting the stage in late 2013, these “Rock n’ roll Soldiers” have notched up a hefty tally in their short exsistence. They’ve supported legendary bands such as The Dickies, C.J. Ramone, The Vibrators, Hard Skin and Bad Manners. SHANDY’s first single “Dance All Night” (released on German record label “Boot Boy Cove”) was sold out withing weeks of it’s release. Respectively the same song’s video clip was awarded “Clip of the Week” by ABC TV’s music program RAGE. The band (to their pleasant surprise) then played 17 shows in 16 days to packed houses throughout Europe. As a result, SHANDY were co-signed by German label CONTRA Records and American label LONGSHOT Music. The taste for SHANDY had spread. After arriving home from their first Euro trip, SHANDY recorded material for their debut LP “Tough Pucker”. This album as well as their new single “Bish Bosh Bash” are due for release this August 2015. In turn SHANDY will be going away for their second tour of Europe. To celebrate these milestones SHANDY have created SHANDY-AID (Give a little – Get a lot) on Saturday 1st August, 2015 at THE CROWBAR, Fortitude Valley, QLD. Fellow Brisbane bands and performers have joined together to raise some much needed funds for their European assignment as well as launching their new releases.
