Girls Rock! Brisbane

This first session of GR!BNE will take place September 26 to 30 2016, at The Foundry, Fortitude Valley, QLD. Showcase on October 1st. GR!BNE aims to empower girls aged 10-17 years old through a week-long mentorship program that encourages creativity, self-expression and teamwork through music. Girls Rock! Brisbane is open to self-identified girl, trans and gender non-conforming youth aged 10-17. Brisbane (GR!BNE) is part of a national network of Australian Girls Rock! Camps. Inspired by programs developed in the USA, Girls Rock Camp has since become a worldwide movement. Our mission is to empower girls and women, building self-esteem and confidence by amplifying their voices through music education and performance. The inaugural session of Girls Rock! Brisbane (GR!BNE), you’ll form a band, learn an instrument, watch live music performances, participate in creative and confidence building workshops- like screen printing band t-shirts, songwriting, rock’n’roll fitness and self defense- and write an original song to be performed at the end of the week. NOTE: Camper participation in showcase is a mandatory part of attendance.
