Peaches

This past year Peaches not only released her critically acclaimed 'Rub' - but she won the prestigious Polaris Heritage Prize for her iconic album 'The Teaches Of Peaches.' That debut album catapulted her into the spotlight with 'Fuck The Pain Away' appearing everywhere from Sofia Coppola's 'Lost In Translation' and 30 Rock to South Park and HBO's True Blood. She followed that record with a series of critically acclaimed releases featuring collaborations with Iggy Pop, Joan Jett, Josh Homme, Beth Ditto and more. The past six years have been some of the most productive in Peaches' artistic career. From her one-woman production of 'Peaches Christ Superstar', to the release of her first feature film 'PeachesDoes Herself' (an electro-rock opera which she also directed and was originally staged at Hebbel am Ufer in Berlin), to singing the title role in a production of Monteverdi's epic 17th-century opera 'L'Orfeo', and collaborating with Yoko Ono, Major Lazer, Jean-Michel Jarre and REM. These last years between albums are now documented beautifully in the new book 'What Else Is In The Teaches Of Peaches,' in which Yoko Ono writes "Seeing her do Cut Piece, and later, after attending her own shows, I have a clear vision of future women artists led by the creative courage of Peaches. Thank you, Peaches, for adding a long and exciting life to performance art."  In her latest forays… Peaches has debuted the new video for 'Vaginoplasty’ - the seventh feature video to be aired from Peaches’ LP 'Rub. "This is my version of a fun summertime video inspired by Esther Williams” says Peaches. And the release of 'Rub Remixed’ - featuring updates, reworks and club bangers from all female artists including CREEP's Lauren Flax, Paula Temple, Planningtorock, Austra's Maya Postepski and more... traversing acid techno, hard house, trap, deep electro, booty bass and future beats. Amy Schumer (Time magazine) "Peaches is just the shit. She’s the bravest one of us out there.”
