Summer of the Aliens

The year is 1962, and the world is worrying about the Cuban Missile Crisis. It may be the height of the Cold War, but for Lewis, growing up in a Melbourne housing commission estate, the real threat of invasion comes from flying saucers and creatures from outer space. But then, adolescence was never going to be easy. The Brisbane Arts Theatre kicks off their 2012 season on February 4 with Louis Nowra’s classic Australian play, Summer of the Aliens.
