The Queensland Music Awards

Tue, Aug 14, 2012 - 6:00pm
The QMAs recognise and celebrate our great artists and musicians. You can enter your songs in a number of categories including country, rock, pop, blues and roots, jazz and many more.

Proudly supported by QMusic and The Courier-Mail, the Queensland Music Awards is a state-wide search for Queensland’s best and most innovative songwriters and musicians.

Artists from all over the state in a number of genres are recognised each year for their songwriting and musical excellence. The G.M McLennan Lifetime Achievement Award recognises artists and industry who have made a lifetime contribution to Queensland Music.

The inaugural Queensland Music Awards took place in 2011, taking it’s previous incarnation Q Song to new heights and shining the spotlight on Queensland artists on a growing national level.

The awards ceremony has grown to be the largest of its kind in Queensland with music industry identities and music fans in attendance each year.

The awards are judged by music industry professionals from all over the country and finalists and winners have the chance to catapult their careers into national significance.

Entries this year open on March 1st and close on April 30. Artists can enter eleven genre categories.
