- You may recall the eponymous Bart, Bart Cummings that is, from one of his many Melbourne bands - The Cat's Miaow for instance? Even if you aren't an old fan, even if you didn't hear the first Bart & Friends record, I think now might be the perfect time to start listening. So much of the 80s has been revived, but - maybe it's just me - it seems that the quiet indie-pop rock of the 80s, in many ways the beginnings of indie rock, has not had it's fair share of that resurgance. I'm not sure that it's about to start making more of an appearance - maybe y'know - but when you do hear it, the sound is that much fresher and more welcome for having been kept from our ears for so long.
