Taking their name from a fairytale of the dark and macabre kind, Eseben And The Witch make the kind of music which would be the perfect accompaniment for such a thing: mysterious, gothic indie-rock full of echoing reverb and sadness. The British outfit have come a long way in rather a short time making evocative and accomplished music that may well see them touted as this year's XX or Big Pink.
