- This Sydney group bring together shoegaze and psychedelia that - though no-one else seems to have mentioned it - reminds me of Ride. Well that's something that we could always do with more of! It's interesting, the band's presser seems at pains to point out that they all have degrees and Ph.Ds and the like. I can't tell whether that's a hint that they're going to go on to bigger and better things and leave childish rock music behind, or whether they're suckers who keep doing things for no monetary reward long after everyone else got wise. That either means you should get in now while you can, or help them out because they need it. Either way, you should listen to The Laurels, they bring the fuzz you need.
