- Some of you may be familiar with Jackson Briggs in his guise as a member of much-loved Brisbane post-rock outfit Nikko. He's been doing some solo stuff under the monicker Loss Leader. If Nikko's sound could be compared to a drunken man bellowing into the night, loss leader is the sound of a skeleton, hanging from a gibbett and swinging in the evening breeze. Twanging, detuned guitiars echo in the heavy reverb and clash against eerie and unrecognisable sounds. Every now and then fluting and ethereal voices drift over the top and give you a chill in your spine. Evocative stuff.
