The PanicsRain On The Humming Wire
Dew Process / Universal

- Written in England & recorded in America, The Panics 4th album, Rain On The Humming Wire, sees the the Melbourne by way of Perth lads take their talents on the road, presumably (slightly) slummin' it, as they tramped their talented butts from-here-to-there, showcasing all that good-Aussie-stuff that they are most certainly built out of. The resulting record isn't straying all that far from what you might expect from the band: a bunch of pleasant, if not world-changing, catchy rock about plodding through life and taken' care of business. If you're a fan of The Panics you'll probably eat Rain On The Humming Wire up like a delicious, nutritious supper, if not it may taste a little bit like a midnight sausage roll from 7/11, good, a little limp in places, but probably worth your $3.
