Toddla TWatch Me Dance
Ninja Tune / Inertia

- Toddla T has been a big grower for me. When I first started hearing cuts from this album they were all vocal house numbers like the single Take It Back and well, you gotta go a long way to get me to throw down a dollar for that. Then there was that electro-funky Take It Back with Roots Manuva rapping all over it: well, that wasn't what I was expecting - that's kinda groovy too. Then I get to listen to the album and - in the best possible way - it's all over the shop! There's also dancehall, drum'n'bass, grime, electro-soul and not only is it frickin' genre-soup, it's all done really well. Toddla T is a really skilled producer who's hooked up a stellar bunch of collaborators for an album that clean knocked my socks off. I hope you've heard some of the advance singles because that will make you even less prepared for the rest of what you're going to get on Watch Me Dance. Try the stream for Badman Flu below.
