Live Review
Regurgitator @ The Zoo
Well it is yet another cold Friday night, and I should have slept more the night before, but tonight I’m amping on going to see my favourite Brisbane band Regurgitator play The Zoo in Fortitude Valley.
I have my lucky shooting jeans on and my Hendrix tee, and I’m ready to roll. I catch the train to the Valley, cleaning my camera on the way in as I usually do, and then after stopping and talking to a couple of people, I make my way to the Zoo. I love walking up the stairs at the Zoo, you are always in for a good night after you walk up them, but tonight Regurgitator were playing and I was more than a good night, I was expecting to be blown away.
The support acts for the night were Jeremy Neale and T-Rax, both put on great sets and got the big crowd really fired up and ready for the main act.
Regurgitator came out and blasted three classics straight up, the crowd was going insane. I was one row back in centre stage position, in the centre of the mosh pit taking photos and dancing my ass off, it was crazy. Regurgitator have only got better and tighter as a band with time, and I really felt lucky and kind of privileged to see that set last night. I shot up a heap of photos and headed home after it was all over, with my expectations of being blown away more than exceeded.
