After 4ZZZ was evicted from its UQ premises in 1988, staff temporarily broadcast from the Mouth Coot-tha transmission tower, using a cassette player which was set up to go straight to air.
Astroturf
Astroturf are a loose collective of musicians based in Brisbane's Westside.
They were formed in late 2010 as a primarily studio based group led by Skip Floyd (Guitarist/Songwriter).
Officially calling themselves an indie band, the range of songs often draw on psychedelia and Kraturock influences,
whilst keeping one solid foot in sixties pop territory.
