On 14 December 1988, 4ZZZ was taken off air and forcibly evicted from its UQ premises by the then student union executive, headed by one Victoria Brazil. The move prompted many previously apolitical students to take a firm stand against the move and to rally support for the station. While Zed was not to return to the premises its' volunteers had helped hand-build, unprecedented community support saw the station live to fight another day.
Ghost Notes
Ghost notes are an instrumental band from Brisbane who formed in early 2009
They make minimalist/ambient music, which owes as much to folk and jazz as it does to so-called 'post rock'. They recorded their debut EP in late 2009, at Luke and Jamie's house, with some overdubs at Incremental Studios with Cameron Smith (who also mixed and mastered the EP). They recently finished recording their first album over 5 days at the Old Museum, which should be out sometime early 2011.
