When 4ZZZ's original space was being built by hand under the Schonell Theatre at Queensland University, a baby grand piano from the theatre above was bricked in to Studio 3. We don't know how they got it out...

Born of Funk and Soul, His Merry Men are now too hot to be contained by just one genre. The band contemporise a classic, ol'school sound with influences from Surf Rock, Electronica and Hip Hop. Regardless of genre, His Merry Men bring a fat, 9-piece sound and dance party attitude to every gig. They sport suave outfits, face melting dance moves and a dynamite 4-piece horn section, the 'Hell Yeah Horns'.
His Merry Men's two single releases of Bobby Got (2010) and Super Secret Spies (2011) have earnt them radio play on 4ZZZ, Bay FM (Byron and Redland Bay), Triple J, Triple J Unearthed (High Rotation) and Tune Fm (Armidale). They were also chosen as an editors pick for the international web show Balcony TV.
