Status Oblique

The Status Oblique project blends the post-punk bass, curated guitar noise and sequenced digital dreamgaze of Australian producer Roshan (from Perth shoegazers 'Sonica') with vocals and lyrics by guest female singers from across the world.

Status Oblique expresses both deep dark intents alongside brighter melodic nuances, with three distinct threads of influence from UK music history from 1977 to 1992: new wave, synth-pop and rave; indie/shoegaze; and to the post-punk/goth/industrial and darkwave sound.
