Miss Elm
Her music can be described as a mixture of quirky part pop and a sliver of jazz infusion. Her conversational lyrics and enchanting melodies can take you on a journey into the unknown with tales of anything from facebook to heart ache. With musical influences like Ella Fitzgerald, Lily Allen and Peggy Lee her music always has an addictive twist and renewed feel.
She has made a name for herself recently releasing her self titled EP and touring around the likes of Australia’s East coast with several radio plays, including Gold Coast’s bay fm, and Triple J. Wether it be Solo or full band performance at venues such as Melbourne’s 303, or Brisbane’s Powerhouse, Elm’s quirky flare is not easily forgotten. From spreading her wings further a field returning from her self titled EP tour released late 2011, she is beginning to become a favourite having plays on community radio in all states of Australia. With several interstate shows planned for 2012, along with an upcoming music video, Miss Elm will be an artist to watch.
