Race of the Harridan

a Brisbane four piece rock and roll band.

They effortlessly blend, bend and bed styles from the last 40 years of rock into a new, yet familiar sound they call Roth’n’Roll. Influences of surf beat, Brit pop, grunge, NYC punk, blues and hoedown can all be heard in the Roth set.

Onstage it’s a frenzy of drum rolls, guitar feedback and bouncing rhythms. However, at the heart of it all, are infectious vocal hooks that stick like crude oil to seabirds. Their energetic live shows have featured on some of Brisbane most iconic stages including The Zoo, Rics, Globe, X&Y and The Beetle Bar.

In July 2011, Race of the Harridan released their debut EP, “from where hits are born”, Recorded at Tall Tones Studios, mixed by Surya Sumantara and mastered by Brian Lucey (The Black Keys), the four track EP features the songs Melanie, Wind Up, Boys Still Alive & I Don’t Feel So Strongly. The boys are currently working on their follow up EP.
