The current includes Heyden Wilson from The Girlies, Tone Sonic from 90's cult Brisbane act Tripitaka, and Dave Sonic the unknown shredder. Two fuzzed out guitars and no respect for the so called rules of rock n roll. We like it loud, fast and unforgiving. With a JJJ Unearthed Number one kicking off proceedings in 2006, the band has gone from strength to strength; in the last 5 years The Porno have toured with the likes of The Butterfly Effect, Shihad, Celibate Rifles, Magic Dirt and Operator Please.

The boys from The Porno have been playing in bands around BrisVegas and the Gold Coast for years now, with a solid reputation as one of Brisbane's hardest working and energetic live acts. You never know what you're gonna get at a Sonic Porno show; burlesque dancers, live dominatrix's and impromptu Britney Spears covers are quite the norm, and the drum kit occasionally ends up thrown across the stage to a chorus of annoying feedback whilst anything in the way gets broken and the crowd stand wide-eyed in disbelief. Grunge is not dead.
