I love diversity and spice
I'm all about diversity in my life and the songs selected on this show are about catering for an assortment of folk. Variety is the spice of life.
*On this show there's the opening track by the Divinyls at their 'Rock 'N' Roll Tonite' 1983 concert live in California.
*There's a re-recorded/remastered version of the classic 1970 breakthrough hit by folk-pop singer-songwriter Melanie Safka to celebrate her 25 years in the music industry.
*Have you heard the Soul Version of Never Tear Us Apart; that's here too.
*Nico from the Velvet Underground performing her biggest in 1986 and Gary Numan doing the same in 2023.
*A brand new expansive, interstellar single by PJ Harvey is featured; it's sung in the first-person "voice" of the Voyager 2 spacecraft, the track reflects on humanity's small, fragile existence.
*And the closing song ends with a spellbinding, tribal-infused masterpiece from Australian born band Dead Can Dance; the song unifies ancient, sacred atmospheres with modern, atmospheric orchestration....a befitting way to end the show I thought.
