- Melbourne sextet, Harmony, have already garnered quite the praise from around the globe for their self-titled romp with some critics going as far as calling the group Australia's greatest current band. Following on from their impressive return to the forefront at ATP, the band have released a taster of the year ahead with their first release of the year the Do Me A Favour 7" which recalls the best moments from their debut and somehow even pushes the envelope further.

Recorded by the group's frontman, Tom Lyngcoln and having the mastering seal of approval from Total Control / Eddy Current star Mikey Young its sound encompasses the band's trademark female harmonies and Tom's in your face vocals. A-Side Do Me A Favour sounds similar to previous highlight Cacophonous Vibes, and it is a dynamic minefield going from its instantly grabbing beginning to playing with silence to back in your face again, leaving you emotionally drained by the end.

B-Side I Wait All Night For You features the Roy Orbison lyric "Just before the dawn I wake to find you" which the band shamelessly admit in the liner-notes to lifting from Orbison's In Dreams. The track acts as more of a pleading ballad and really counteracts the emotional aggression of the A-Side. Included on the download card accompanying the record is a selection of tracks from the last album, recorded live at PBS studios which is a lovely addition to an already worthwhile product.

Everything about this 7" is simply brilliant from the amazing artwork to the purely great content. This is a great sign of things to come and hopefully an indication that the band will reap some of the acclaim they deserve, acclaim that is continuously building.
