- Every now and then in rock'n'roll you get a fairytale story. Young folks who decide they were just destined to make music and be famous turn out to actually be right. Melody's Echo Chamber is, pretty much, that kind of tale. Melody Prochet, a young, Parisian lass, bummed by a boring scene and a the break-up of a long-term relationship, just walked into a bar and met Tame Impala's Kevin Parker. One great big trip later the result of that fateful meeting can be heard on the self-titled debut by Melody's Echo Chamber. It's full of dream-pop vocals, lush psychedelia, fuzzy, distorted ornaments and electronically altered drums and it all ends up sounding like just about nothing else; it's pretty dang enjoyable too. It's not really any wonder that Melody Prochet has experienced such immediate and resounding success, please follow the link below to a podcast of extended interview with Melody Prochet where she told us all about it.
