Welcome to Protis Reviews. My name is Alan, and for an hour each week I will be showcasing the hottest releases from local artists in the Brisbane music scene, as well as those from interstate and overseas. I have been writing reviews of studio releases, be they singles or EPs, since June of 2024. I started reviewing live performances in September of 2024, and have been enjoying these immensely! My aim for this show is to see how it works in a radio format.
This week on "Protis Reviews" features an interview with local singer-songwriter Mister JJ. He has been around on the Brisbane open mic circuit for at least the last few years. His band Scandal Tree released their single "Tooth Fairy" on the 12th of September, and he joins Alan for a chat about this song and other music things in general.
