Well, the sunburn, fatigue (and black boogers) are just bad memories now, replaced by the utterly brilliant memories made at ZED50. This intrepid announcer attended many a 4zzz Market Day decades ago after discovering 102.1FM 4zzz completely by accident at age 15 and discovering stuff like N.W.A , Primus and Bill Hicks and being intrigued, excited and slightly afraid all at once.
Today I'm a proud 4zzz volunteer and announcer who helps at events and plays weird shit to try and carry the flame.. and that flame burnt so brightly this weekend carried in the hands of thousands creating a unique and at times genuinely emotional event.
