It is difficult not to be caught by the lingering regret of the quiet but sweet and soulful pop of Twin Shadow. There's almost a Smiths quality including the sound of George Lewis Jr.'s voice. He certainly brings a lot of sincerity to his sad songs and coupled with production by Grizzly Bear's Chris Taylor you have a pretty neat debut record.
