Queensland Collaborative Project Provides Well Needed Support For People Seeking Asylum

This Sunday Asylum Circle will be hosting its monthly volunteer introductory program at Kelvin Grove.

The program is for anyone that would like to help people seeking asylum in Southeast Queensland.

Volunteer Coordinator at Asylum Circle Victoria Bansey asks 4ZZZ listeners to turn their anger about the mistreatment of the men on Manus Island Detention Centre, and put it into action by volunteering.

“It gives you a rush for the rest of the week knowing that you’re helping someone,” said Ms Bansey.

“I always like to think you can’t change the world but you can make a difference in someone’s life.”
