4ZZZ provides engaging training opportunities for subscribers and community members interested in the media industry.
Podcasting/Editing and Interviewing Workshops
4ZZZ is running Editing/Podcasting and Interviewing workshops in June. Each workshop will cover different aspects of interviewing, recording, editing and podcasting. The workshops will complement each other but you do not need to do both workshops if you are already confident in one area.
The podcasting/editing workshop will run twice and interviewing workshop will run once.
Cost: $15 for one / $20 for both

Announcer Training
This training is mandatory for all potential 4ZZZ announcers. It covers; station history, media law, station policy, paneling and presenting. Training consists of four sessions over two weekends and runs 6 times a year.
Dates for the next round:
Session 1 Saturday 30th June - 9:30am - 1pm
Session 2 Sunday 1st July - 9:30am - 1pm
Session 3 Saturday 14th July - 9:30am - 1pm
Session 4 Sunday 15th July - 9:30am - 1pm
In between sessions 2 and 3 trainees are required to complete in-studio obervation sessions.
Cost:
$90 full time waged
$45 for concession.

Accredited Media Training
The Community Media Training Organisation (CMTO) is Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that delivers accredited and non-accredited training for community broadcasters around Australia. 4ZZZ partners with the CMTO to deliver a variety of courses including a Certificate III in Media and a Certificate II in Creative Industries as well as various short courses for editing, interviewing, presenting and outside broadcasting.
Community Training Programs
We also offer programs where we can come to you. We've partnered with Brisbane City Council, Youth Arts Queensland, Police Citizen Youth Clubs, The Smith Family, Red Hill Special School and more, to deliver informative and engaging workshops across a broad range of media and visual graphic design arts skill sets. Station Tours
We offer informative and fun station tours all year round. 4ZZZ announcers and journalists take groups on a tour of the station, talking about the history of 4ZZZ as an independent media organisation, the future of media and teaching participants the basics of how to make radio.
