Approval granted for solar electricity farm in Darling Downs

Builder Solar Choice is planning the construction of the farm, which they say could potentially generate up to two gigawatts of electricity once completed. Managing director Angus Gemmell said it is exciting news but there is a lot of work left to do for the project. He said a power purchase agreement would have to be reached once studies with Powerlink were completed, with options of selling electricity onto the grid directly or having the sale completed by an electricity provider.
